It’s been two months since I shifted to Bengaluru, apart from visiting places like Cubbon Park, Indranagar, and Vidhan Soudha I got a chance to attend my first in-person meetup in this city, and the same experience and resources I’m going to share in this blog.

It all started with a post from Ajeet Singh Raina, Dev-Rel@Docker.

The idea was to have a hybrid session on Docker for beginners. The response was positive, so it is planned to happen in person in Bengaluru and have a zoom option for people to join online.

About the place

Workshop happened at Cambrian Lab of Cambridge Institute, Krishnarajpura. Surprisingly it was the first time they opened their private labs for community meetings. All over ambiance and tech-requirements were great. Apart from providing zoom subscription Cambrian labs also provided complementary lunch in their college mess which was tasty..

About Workshop

You can find the agenda for the event on Meetup Page. We started the workshop around 10 o’ clock. Some important resources that I’d like to share :

  1. Play with DockerDocker Playground
  2. Collabnix — Step by step guide on beginner, Intermediate and expert level topics

The above two resources will help you get started with docker with no initial setup required making the process easy.

We also had some demonstrations with NVIDIA Jetson and Raspberry Pi hardware where we were running our docker instances on these hardware devices and capturing sensor data to analyze it further.

Closing

Around 5:00 PM we completed the session. Thanks to Ajeet Singh Raina and Cambrian Labs for hosting the event. Looking forward to similar events.
